Another Weekend Adventure

We had another crazy, hectic, traveling weekend.

Some may say spending 20 hours in your car (with a 9.5 month old) for a quick 3 day weekend trip is insane.

I say- it was worth every second...

We got to meet this handsome fella

Jack Guthrie has stolen our hearts.  He is the sweetest and snuggliest little guy. Look at that face!

It truly was a delightful weekend.  We had lots of fun family time and tons of sweet baby snuggles.  Let me tell you... It was grandparent heaven!

We spent the day Saturday at JM and Erica's house.  We took a walk with the cousins and got to see more of their cute neighborhood and the park nearby.  

Saturday night we had a delicious dinner and drinks at Gus and Mart's house.  Kate REALLY loved the dinner... especially the mini cheesecake bites she got from her Aunt Marty.. :)

Sunday we had brunch with some of JM and Erica's friends and their sweet kids.  We spent most of the rest of the day just lounging and soaking up all the baby snuggles we could.  

Does it get any cuter than this?

Monday we hit the road around 4am and headed back to Athens.  Kate did great in the car again (thank goodness!) and made it back home in time to have a quick family nap...

It was a fabulous weekend and I am so grateful we were able to get up there to meet our sweet new nephew.  Couldn't be happier for my brother and erica for their precious little blessing.  They are rocking this parenting thing already.  

4 Years

4 years ago I got to marry this guy...

It was the sweetest, most fun, hottest, best day ever. 

And pretty much every day has been the best day ever since.  I have the most caring, thoughtful, fun, sweet husband that I could ever ask for.  The past 4 years have brought us a puppy, a move, a house, lots of adventures, and of course our sweet baby girl.  He always has my back and supports me no matter what (even though I like to be a bit indecisive sometimes) I seriously cannot imagine life without this guy by my side.

 I am blessed.  We are blessed.

Weekend Fun

We had another fun weekend.  We didn't have any plans and it was so nice to just hang as a family and relax a little..

Friday night we went to the Ramsey Center and saw Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte swim.  Ben got us "VIP" passes because he works with the people that ran the meet.  Kate loved every second and was so excited to clap with everyone!

 We also got to go play at the Splash Pad this weekend.  Kate loves the water and she was in heaven playing in the fountains and watching all the other kids run around.

She also had her first swing ride!  It was a hit!

The rest of the weekend was mostly spent playing at home with the pup....

and taking lots of good naps. ( love that heiney in the air! )

Almost there....

Well maybe almost there...

Little Miss has been thinking about crawling for about 2 months now. 

She gets in crawling position....

Thinks about it....

Then tries to fly!

Thinks about it some more....

Then thinks better of it.  Time for a break!

Kind of thought she would be moving and grooving by now.  Especially since she sits and watches all the other kids crawl and walk at daycare.  

Nope.. This girl is content.  And she likes to spectate.

Fine with us though.  I am enjoying these last moments of a still baby.  Life gets harder for us when she gets moving.

9 Months

The 4th of July was also Kate's 9 month birthday.  I seriously can't believe this girl is 9 months old.  Time is flying by and we are just loving every second of her.

Kate is talking and yelling all the time.  She can go from sitting to crawl position and back.  She is trying to crawl (sometimes) but can't quite figure it out yet.  She loves to smile and give everyone the "side look".  She can play patty cake and give you a high five.  She loves to swim and jump. She is still loving food and is getting very good at picking things up and feeding herself.  She has 2 teeth!

We love this girl more than words can even express. She brings us more fun and laughter than you could imagine.  We are wrapped around that perfect baby finger.
