Snuggle Buggle

Kate is the best sleeper ever and when she is ready for bed, she lets you know it..

but the last couple of weeks she has been doing the cutest thing.

She says night night and gets in bed and lays down for 10 minutes or so...

Then, "MOMMMMMMYYYY"

I walk in and she is standing in her crib, arms up, then points at her chair and says "snuggle buggle"

We sit and snuggle and rock for like 2 minutes and then she says "night night" again.

I love it and her.  The girl can melt your heart.

Sweet Pup

Wrigley loves her baby brother.

She is so protective of him and always lays by his bed for a bit at night

She also MUST get into his room if there is a thunderstorm.

Sweet Wrigley, such a good big sissy.

Bruce is 3 Months

7/30/15

3 Months old..

I know I say it every time and in every other post, but time PLEASE slow down.

Bruce is 14 lbs, wearing size 2 diapers, and busting out of 3 month clothes.

He is a hungry hippo- eating 5-6 oz every 2.5 (sometimes 3) hours.

He consistently sleeps 8ish hours when we first put him down at 7 and then likes to wake up every hour after that.

He holds his head up like a boss and loves sitting in his bumbo seat.

He had his first giggles on his 3 month birthday.  Is there any better sound than a giggling baby!?!

Love this sweet boy.. These 3 months have flown by!

5 Years

July 23, 2015

5 years ago, this happened

Whoa.. that went fast!
It is true that time flies when you are having fun and that is exactly what we have been doing.  Never a dull moment and we pretty much spend our life laughing and having fun.  Love having this guy by my side and wouldn't change anything about this crazy life we are living.

We have been busy these past 5 years... Our first house, a dog, and 2 perfect babies.

Bennie- you are my favorite and I LURV you more than you could ever know.

Here's to 100 more!

Outer Banks 2015

The Outer Banks... probably my favorite place on this earth.  SO many of my most favorite memories are with my most favorite people at this beach and there was nothing better than bringing my own kiddos there this year.  Get ready for crazy picture overload, because how do you choose just a few pictures of cute babes on the beach!?

We drove through the night (with a couple hour pit stop in NC) and were the first ones to arrive.  We went straight to the pier to show Kate the water and stretch our legs a bit.

Family selfie!

The rest of the week was spent between the beach and the pool with a little couch time imbetween..
It was absolute perfection and the greatest way to wrap up a sweet summer of maternity leave.

Kate, the little helper and sweet hand holder..

The girl LOVED the beach.  She played in the sand...

Chilled in her chair...

Ate lots of snacks...

and her favorite part..
The "Big Pool"

The girl jumped waves with everyone...

Even a few swims with her daddy...

She loved going for walks and pointing out all the birds

She was pretty dern impressed with "DINO"

Don't worry... Bruce loved it too

Professional beach napper.

And when he wasn't in his igloo...
always with his mama.

We also spent A LOT of time at the pool..
Kate was seriously a fish... Fearless

Jumping right in...

Did I mention that she can dive!?

There was a fun ice cream date with KG and Dino..

And just so much love and laughter with all of our favorites

I have a feeling these 2 are going to be trouble together...

Oh and these 2 as well...

There is really just nothing better than family...

And truly nothing better than family at the beach.

Missing all these peeps already!

Ben made an awesome slideshow to recap the WHOLE week (all 700+ photos and videos...)  If you feel so inclined, watch it here:

Pulmonologists and Sweat Tests

July 16, 2015

In case you haven't noticed, Kate has been sick quite a bit over the past year and a half.  Since she is always getting all this upper respiratory junk every time she gets sick, we were referred to a pulmonologist.  He told us that he is pretty sure she just has asthma and to keep up with her inhalers and medicine, but he also wanted to do a sweat test to rule out cystic fibrosis.  So, Kate and I treked over to the Children's Hospital in Atlanta for a "date" to go get her test done.

She was the best girl and couldn't have been sweeter.

Loved her "bracelet" on her ankle.. Kept pointing at it and saying "pwwettty"

The lab tech said that most kids would cry a little when she put the electrodes on, but not our sweet girl.. She thought it was pretty fun, especially when they gave her a juice box!

We left the lab and got some lunch at her favorite, Chik Fil A, where we ate lots of "dip dip" and killed some time before we went back to see the doctor.

Results all came back negative! (phew!) We are just going to keep up with her meds and hopefully she will grow out of this..

Sweet girl was worn out from our big day and slept most of the way in the car.

Crazy and somewhat nervewracking day, but also fun to have some alone time with my girl before the dreaded D-day of going back to work!
