Charlotte

We packed up the car and headed up to Charlotte this weekend for a fun visit with Auntie Jo Jo, Uncle Willy, and sweet baby Annie.

We are always stopping for a quick visit to see them on our way up to Virginia, but it was fun to have an entire weekend with our besties.

I was terrible about taking pictures and we didn't get one with all of us, but I guess we were just too busy having fun.

We did go on a little adventure to Kid Zone.  It was like toddler heaven. Tons of different themes in every room from restaurants, to doctors office, to airplanes and space.

My kids were obsessed.

Kate loves her babies and having little Annie be her real life baby doll was pure heaven.

These 2 are gonna be pals for sure.

Bruce was obviously smitten as well.

I think there are some serious shenanigans in store for these 3...

Such a fun weekend with the Kay crew.  Weekends look a little different these days, but we wouldn't trade it for anything.

We try to make it a Saturday tradition to walk or run up to the farmer's market.

Nothing sweeter than these babes and some yummy pops.

Big Girl Bed!

It's official.

Kate is in a big girl bed.

Bruce is kind of excited about it too!

She is doing great.  Never gets out and is so proud of her new big girl bed.

Can't believe how quick my baby is growing up.  Proud of her sweet self.

Anniversary Surprise

6 whole years married.
Over 10 years of fun, laughs, and lots of surprises.  Ben is the king of surprises.

He got me again!
Work covered, babysitters covered, plane tickets bought, and the house in Naples reserved.

3 days kidless at the beach with my favorite guy.

Couldn't ask for anything better.

We slept in.  We went for a long run.  We laughed. A lot.

We relaxed.

Ben fixed a bunch of stuff.

Love my handyman.

And we had some awesome date nights with amazing food, great wine, and beautiful views

6 years married to my best friend.  I couldn't ask for more than life with you, Ben Nyquist.

6 years, a dog, a house, and a couple of cute kids... We haven't changed a bit! ;)

Sweet Summer Time

July 2016

Ever have those moments where you just sit back for a minute and get overwhelmed by how truly blessed you are?  This summer has been so full of those moments for me.  My heart is so full and I am so grateful for this family of mine and although this season of life is so crazy and so dang tiring, I really wish it wouldn't pass by so fast.  These babies keep growing so quickly and I feel like I am going to blink and they'll be teenagers... So sometimes it just does my heart good to sit back, let them play outside in their undies or with their cute little heineys hanging out, and just soak it all in.

This summer has been so good.  It's all about these little moments, am I right?

There is so much fun stuff to do in Athens and we don't always take advantage of it all.

This weekend we decided to go on a little adventure out to the nature center to see the fish, turtles, and walk through the woods.

The kiddos loved it.
