Nursery Progress

Well we are officially 39 days away from meeting Bruce Wilson Nyquist.

Wait, WHAT!?!?

After being in a little bit of denial for the first 5-6 months, we are finally getting our butts in gear and getting this place ready for him.

The office is now upstairs in the bonus room.  The bonus room is soon to become a guest bedroom/playroom/office combo.  It is a work in progress...

The nursery has pretty much looked like this for the past few months...

But now we are starting to make some progress!

Lucky for Bennie, I think the navy blue walls in the room are perfect for baby B Dub, so they get to stay...  Don't worry, he isn't off the hook and has been doing all kinds of handyman/daddy projects for me.

He put the crib together with the help of his 2 girls...

Painted the dresser aka new changing table...

and built the most awesome sign ever for his room

Things are slowly getting checked off the list and it is starting to look like a pretty dern cute boys room in there...

Now all we need is a chair, a bookshelf (Ben is working on it!), a few wall decorations, and bedding (Di Di is bringing this week!)

Here's a sneak peak at the fabric...

Can't believe he is going to be here so soon.  We can't even wait to meet you little guy.

Spring is here!

The rain and cold are finally gone and it is beautiful in Georgia.

Thank the Lord!

We have been enjoying being outside as much as possible and have even had a few redneck moments in our front yard....

She would get in, close the door, say "bye bye" and then blow a kiss.

17 months or 17 years?

Slow down time...

17 Months

WHAT!?!?

How did that happen?

I would say that my baby girl is officially a toddler.  She is busy, busy, busy and developing quite the personality.   She is sweet and happy, funny, full of great expressions, and sometimes a little bit of a diva (shh..)

Her favorite things are being outside, holding hands, pushing her baby around, baby einstein puppet movie, reading books, riding in her car, and SNACKS.

She will give you a hug and a kiss if you ask her at the right moment.  She is also quick to shake her head NO and walk away sometimes..

Loves to rock in her chair and say "rock, rock, rock"

She is trying really hard to count and does it every time she stacks something or puts things away.

She has lots of words.. uh-oh, no, dogggg, baby, please, di di, tee tah, uh-huh,
and applesauce are some of her newer ones.  I swear she learns something new every day these days.  It's unbelievable.  On the other hand, she is getting frustrated because she wants to be able to talk and communicate with us and gets mad when we don't know what she wants.

She is already Miss Independent.  Only wants to feed herself with a spoon, tries to put on her own jacket every day, and sometimes throws a bit of a tantrum when you try to help her with things.

She loves to sleep and is ready for bed around 630 or 645 a lot of nights.  She will point to her crib and say "night night".  She also still LOVES those binks...

She is SO snuggly after bathtime before you get into PJ's.  It is 5 minutes of heaven.

She LOVES her daddy... like A LOT

She is still just a little bit.  Just now outgrowing her 12 month clothes and still wears a size 2 shoes.  We are not really quite sure how she walks on those tiny feet!

Sweet Kate, who knew we could love you more every day.  Please stop growing so fast, I can't handle it.

(Sorry, random and rambling post.  So many things that I just don't want to forget.  Time is going too quick!)
