Weekend Shenanigans

We are definitely adjusting to being a family of 4 and there is lots of fun and silliness going on around here...

Also, lots of kisses and snuggles..

Pruitt Wedding

Memorial Weekend we had the honor to be a part of the beautiful Pruitt wedding.

Rosie and Michael tied the knot at Ashford Manor in Watkinsville, and it was beautiful.

Kate was the most perfect flower girl

She RAN down that aisle with a big grin on her face and I was honored to be one of the readers during the ceremony

Shortly after the ceremony, Kel came and snagged Kate for us so Ben and I could have the night (kid free)to dance, have fun, and drink a few cocktails.

We had a blast with lots of my favorite people..

Donna's idea of a candy bag...

Such a fun night

Cheers to you, Rosie and Michael!
Love yall!

Bruce is 1 Month Old

Stop it.

Can't believe this guy has been here for a whole month.

It's been an adventure, but we wouldn't change it for anything.

Love this little guy so much.

Happy 1 Month Birthday Mr BDub!

Success

Daytime with 2 kids is getting easier... I can pretty much handle chasing Kate around while I wear Bruce in the baby bjorn (thank the Lord for that thing), or feed Bruce while Kate watches a show or eats a snack.  I wouldn't say that I've mastered it, but I'm not overcome with anxiety anymore

Bedtime is another story.  I was worried about getting 2 kids fed, bathed, and to bed. Bedtime is not exactly straightforward around here with breathing treatments and medicine etc all while trying to nurse and take care of a newborn at the same time.  Intimidating, right?

But I did it.

It wasn't perfect, it was messy, and there was definitely a  lot of crying.

But everyone went to bed with full bellies, clean bodies, and fresh jammies.

Success.

A Date with My Gal

Got to have a little splash pad date with my girl a couple weeks ago...

She loved it.

Sassy girl telling the fountain that splashed her "NO"

So much fun spending a couple hours with just my girl.

Wasn't this picture on the left 5 minutes ago?
Slow down time...

Thanks Pinterest....

Well this didn't work out very well....

So Very Grateful

Been meaning to write this post for a few weeks...

Ben is in the thick of things with softball ending, pool season starting, employee sports still going.. the man is BUSY.   He is superman and working all the time but still managing to be the best daddy and support system I could ask for.  But we have needed lots of help and we have been overwhelmed and thankful for everything that everyone has done for us.  We are so grateful to all of you that have helped us so much over the past month.

Stealing Kate for a date to Chik-Fil-A with cousins to let mom have a few moments of peace with the baby...

Taking Kate for a weekend so dad could work and this mama wouldn't have to do it all on her own..

PLUS spending your holiday weekend with us so Ben could open pools and not leave me stranded and we could have a few hours to enjoy ourselves at a wedding.  Kel and Jen, you have been AMAZING.  We really can't thank you enough.

Staying with us 3 weeks and spoiling Kate, cooking us dinners, letting me rest/recover..

Don't really have any pictures (what!?) but Aunt Jesica coming and helping me with my crazy toddler and newborn when you were already taking care of a toddler by yourself 24/7 at home...  PLUS letting me borrow your own mama.  THANK YOU.

And everyone else... All the food, phone calls, visits, support, love.  It truly takes a village and we have a great one.  Thank you so very much, we couldn't have survived this past month without you.
