Camp Kikakee and Football is Back!

9/4/15

Labor Day weekend meant it was time for the annual Kamp Kikakee at The Nyquist House!

After a long and emotional week for Ben and his family after losing a loved one, Ben grabbed those Donges kiddos and brought them to our house for a night of fun and craziness.  Nothing like sweet babes and family to help you to cope with a loss and celebrate this life we are living.

Kamp Kikakee shirts were ready to go when the kiddos got here...

Obviously, we built a gigantic slip and slide in our backyard.

Kate was a very good assistant/supervisor..

And these 2 girls.. Can you even stand the cuteness?  Kate is pretty much absolutely obsessed with her cousin Hattie.  She talks about her EVERY DAY

Delicious dinner of Chik Fil A and Fanta (because thats what they wanted!)

Brownies and ice cream for dessert... YUM

Then showers/baths for everyone and into their awesome Kamp Kikakee PJ's.

Unc Ben is awesome and built them a cool fort to sleep in

Saturday morning we woke up to the craziness of what having 5 kids would be like... I mean, seriously, your life would just be constant chaos. Oh, and your house would definitely be a disaster!

They sure are cute though!

Kate and her big sis... Wrigley was the first one ready for GAME DAY!

Speaking of game day..
FOOTBALL SEASON IS BACK!!!

We all got dressed, Kate and Dave arrived, and we headed to the tailgate.

Sweetest little cheerleaders...

We love cousins!

Our best attempt at a family photo...

We failed to get a pic of the whole crew at the tailgate,,, WHOOPS!

But I must say.. These 2 stole the show.

They couldn't get enough of each other, holding hands all day.

Then the boys headed off to the game, and the girls headed home!

GO DAWGS!

Such a fun weekend...

Big shout out to Di Di too!  She came and spent the whole week with us to help me while Ben was gone.. She also took care of Bruce basically the whole time (hence the lack of pics of that baby boy!)  So grateful for you , mom! What would we do without you!
