Almost there....

Well maybe almost there...

Little Miss has been thinking about crawling for about 2 months now. 

She gets in crawling position....

Thinks about it....

Then tries to fly!

Thinks about it some more....

Then thinks better of it.  Time for a break!

Kind of thought she would be moving and grooving by now.  Especially since she sits and watches all the other kids crawl and walk at daycare.  

Nope.. This girl is content.  And she likes to spectate.

Fine with us though.  I am enjoying these last moments of a still baby.  Life gets harder for us when she gets moving.

Take your time baby. Take your time.

9 Months

The 4th of July was also Kate's 9 month birthday.  I seriously can't believe this girl is 9 months old.  Time is flying by and we are just loving every second of her.

Kate is talking and yelling all the time.  She can go from sitting to crawl position and back.  She is trying to crawl (sometimes) but can't quite figure it out yet.  She loves to smile and give everyone the "side look".  She can play patty cake and give you a high five.  She loves to swim and jump. She is still loving food and is getting very good at picking things up and feeding herself.  She has 2 teeth!

We love this girl more than words can even express. She brings us more fun and laughter than you could imagine.  We are wrapped around that perfect baby finger.

4th of July

We had a fabulous long weekend.  Kel and Jenny are in renovation hell at their new house so they came and spent the weekend with us. We celebrated the 4th in Monroe with the Chanceys.  David and Rachel had us all over for a pool party during the day which was great.

Lots of eating and drinking and playing with cute babies.  Perfection.

Then we headed back to the Chancey house and this happened....

Those 2 went to bed (eventually... :) and then we watched fireworks in the backyard.  

Saturday we spent the day at the pool and just relaxing.  Auntie Meredith came for a visit too!  

Lately...

Sorry everyone.. I have been a terrible blogger lately.  Don't really know why...  We have been kind of busy, but in the best way.  Busy hanging with lots of our favorite people and busy just soaking up time with each other.  We have been doing lots of world cup watching, play dates with Will, walks in the neighborhood, backyard pool time, Kate's first splash pad trip with Daddy, and of course lots of snuggling.
